What a sports card break is

A seller opens hobby boxes or a sealed case live. Before opening, they split them into spots: each spot is a team.

Whoever gets a spot receives every card of that team that comes out.

  1. Tap Pre-bid on your team and choose your max, from MX$20.
  2. You pay only if you win.
  3. When your team's auction starts, Onda bids for you up to your max.

Get your team without waiting for its auction

  1. If the seller set a price, your team shows Buy now.
  2. You can buy it from before the live until that team's auction starts.
  3. Pay with Confirm and pay and the spot is yours.

If someone uses Buy now first, your pre-bid is canceled at no cost and we let you know.

Each team has its own auction and timer

Spot auction

  1. Teams come up one by one, each with its own timer.
  2. Tap Bid; the highest bid wins when the timer hits zero.
  3. A bid in the final seconds resets the timer to 5 or 10 seconds; with Sudden death, it does not.

Pay in installments

  1. To bid, you save a card in the app.
  2. If you win, Onda charges that card when the timer hits zero.
  3. With Buy now you can Pay in installments: 3, 6, 9 or 12, from MX$300, with the fee shown up front.

Live

  1. The seller opens the sealed box on camera, on their show.
  2. Every card comes out in front of everyone.
  3. Your team's cards are yours.

Your cards arrive with a tracking number

  1. The seller sorts each team's cards and ships you yours.
  2. They ship within 5 business days; you pay for shipping in the app.
  3. If it does not arrive, or it is not what the live showed, you request a refund.

Questions about breaks

What is a sports card break?
A seller opens sealed boxes or a case live (Topps Chrome, Bowman and more). Before opening, they sell spots; each spot is a team. The cards of your team that come out are yours, and the seller ships them to you.
How do I buy a spot?
Get Onda, save your card and join the show. Pick a team and bid before the timer runs out, from MX$20. If the seller turns it on, you can buy it now at the price you see.
What is a random break?
You buy a spot and get a random team, live and in front of everyone.
Can I watch a break before I buy?
Yes. Recordings of past breaks are open: you see the box, the auction of each spot and the hits that came out.
When do my cards arrive?
The seller ships within 5 business days with a tracking number. If it does not arrive, or it is not what the live showed, you request a refund.
How do I pay?
By card in the app; Stripe processes the charge. You pay only for the spots you win or buy.
